Our business area

Our extensive range of services is divided into five business areas: Smart Industry; Power; Connectivity; Staff Leasing; and International Operations.

Smart Industry

We help our customers improve their production plants’ operating reliability and maintenance efficiency. We develop digital solutions for improving productivity, and are responsible for the total maintenance and reliable operation of our customers’ production plants. We also provide resource and contracting services, and subcontracting chain management services for domestic and international industry projects.

Power

We help our customers change the energy sector with services that cover its entire lifecycle. The services include the design, construction and maintenance of transmission grids, electric substations and wind farms. Our business also provides solutions for charging systems for electrically powered transport and electricity storage.

Connectivity

We help our customers provide mobile and fixed network services and ensure their operability. We are involved in all phases of the lifecycles of data networks by designing, building and maintaining fixed and wireless data networks.

Staff leasing

We help our customers by providing versatile and flexible solutions for domestic staffing requirements in industry and construction.

International Operations

We help our international customers by providing the abovementioned services in Germany, France, the United Kingdom and the Baltic states, for example.

Management

Jussi Holopainen

CEO since 1 January 2013.

EDUCATION: BBA, business administration and management

Jussi has been the CEO of Enersense International Oyj since 2013. Previously, he has worked at Enersense as a sales director and vice president. He has years of experience in business management in Finland and international environments.

Risto Takkala

CFO since 9 September 2019.

EDUCATION: M.Sc. (Economics)

Risto has extensive experience in international business at business unit, sector and group levels. He has worked as the CFO in industrial, industrial service and also SaaS companies. In addition to financial administration, he has, at different stages of his career, been responsible for strategic planning, risk management and data systems.

Jaakko Leivo

EVP, Smart Industry, since 14 August 2020.

EDUCATION: B.Sc. (Electrical engineering)

Jaakko has comprehensive and diverse experience in different stages of steel structure production and surface treatment. Jaakko worked for more than ten years at Technip Offshore Finland, with his responsibilities ranging from the production of systems both large and small all the way to production management. At Enersense, Jaakko started as the COO of Enersense Works Oy, after which he was the CEO of Enersense Works Oy and Enersense Painting Oy.

Mika Linnamäki

EVP, Staff Leasing, since 2 November 2020

EDUCATION: Upper secondary school graduate

Mika has solid and diverse experience in human resources in different companies and positions since 2004. His tasks include recruitment and personnel coordination, as well as various sales and administration activities. In addition to HR, Mika has more than six years of experience in sales in technical trade and software solutions.

Mikko Vaahersalo

Director since 14 August 2020.

EDUCATION: B.Sc. (Technology)

Mikko has solid expertise in various managerial positions: he has worked in the management of Empower Group’s production and development for more than ten years. He then worked as the director of Empower’s Connectivity and Smart Industry operations for several years, until he started as the acting CEO in 2020 and later as the CEO. Currently, Mikko is responsible for supporting the Enersense–Empower integration until the spring of 2021.

Johanna Nurkkala

SVP, Legal, since 14 August 2020.

EDUCATION: Master of Laws

Johanna has been the senior vice president of legal affairs at Enersense since August 2020. Johanna has broad and diverse experience in different areas of corporate law. Before starting in her current position, Johanna was the senior legal counsel at Empower Group and worked in legal affairs at Hannes Snellman Attorneys Ltd and DLA Piper Finland Attorneys Ltd. Johanna graduated as Master of Laws at the University of Helsinki, and she has also studied contract and corporate law at the University of Sheffield in the UK.

Maija Kaski

SVP, HR, since 14 August 2020.

EDUCATION: MA (Education)

Maija is an HR professional with solid work experience. She has twenty years of experience in HR processes and their management in international environments through her work as vice president of HR at Martela, chief HR officer at Talvivaara and various managerial positions in HR at Nokia and Elcoteq. At Empower, Maija was responsible for the entire group’s HR, as well as in her current position at Enersense.

Juha Silvola

EVP, Power, since 14 August 2020.

EDUCATION: M.Sc. (Manufacturing technology)

Juha has been the executive vice president of Power since March 2019. Previously, he has worked as vice president and head of unit at Empower PN Oy. Juha has also been the CEO of Suomen Maastorakentajat Oy and worked in managerial positions in marketing, R&D, and production development at Polar Electro Oy. Juha has extensive experience in developing business operations and improving profitability.

Anna Lindén

EVP, Connectivity, since 14 August 2020.

EDUCATION: MA (Political science)

Innofactor Plc, Chair of the Board of Directors

Anna has extensive experience in business management, technology, change management and productive resourcing. She has had a long career at Nokia, where she worked in various managerial positions in management teams of international business units, most recently as the COO of Mobile Networks. Anna also has experience in working in the Board of Directors of a listed company having first been a member of Innofactor’s Board of Directors and currently being its chair.

Margus Veensalu

EVP, International Operations, since 14 August 2020.

EDUCATION: B.Sc. (Mechanical engineering), BBA

Margus started his career working in several specialist and managerial positions at the Estonian Privatisation Agency. For the past 23 years, he has worked actively in various managerial positions at Empower. His recent work and business experience is related to Estonian Railways and the healthcare and travel sectors.

Tommi Manninen

SVP, Communications and Public Affairs since 1 February 2021

EDUCATION: Master of Social Sciences

Tommi has extensive media and communications experience. Tommi moved to Enersense from the communications agency Kreab where he worked as Chief Content Officer for five years with clients from several prominent Finnish companies, including energy and telecommunications. In the past, Manninen has worked for 23 years as a journalist and producer, including MTV news and current affairs editorial, Kauppalehti, Helsingin Sanomat and Aamulehti. Tommi’s responsibilities include communication, marketing and public affairs.
