We are currently looking for a Mechanical Planning Engineer for NSSS for our client in Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant, Finland. Start of the project is as soon as possible.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Gathering of all tasks from Commissioning, Construction, Maintenance, Operation
  • Assess the impact of the activity on the other branches
  • Liaise with scheduling team to verify that the activities from all entities fit together in the time schedule
  • Secure the non-violation of the technical specifications
  • Ensure compliance with the technical specifications
  • Propose/define changes in the planning sequences in order to
    • fulfil the technical specifications
    • optimize the sequence for the project progress
  • Harmonize the mechanical activities with the electrical and the I&C activities
  • Anticipatory way of working to detect and remove obstacles in time
  • Deliver the final mechanical level , level 2 and level 3 schedules for the project schedule owner for level 1, level 2 and level 3
  • Organize the PTW activities in order to fulfil the objectives
  • Lead the relevant meetings with the representatives from all disciplines
  • Regular reporting about the schedule and plant progress
  • Chairing of meetings

Keys to success:

  • Chemical, Process, Mechanical or Nuclear Engineer
  • Expertise in mechanical and fluid system design and/or commissioning and/or maintenance
  • Very good knowledge of the PWR process systems, especially Auxiliary Systems
  • Solid knowledge and experience in fluid and process system operation, including functionality of mechanical 
  • equipment (valves, pumps, fans, heaters, filters, etc.)
  • Overall knowledge about the Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) mechanical and I&C systems
  • Team player attitude
  • Experience of work planning
  • PTW experience considered as a benefit
  • Work planning experience required
  • Permit to Work (PTW) experience considered as an advantage
  • Knowledge of commissioning and maintenance systems
  • Knowledge of Integrated Master Schedule
