The new Head of Group Strategy is a driven senior strategist and growth architect that will guide the company group strategy and corporate development agenda. 

She or he will act as key advisor to the CEO on critical changes in the competitive landscape and work in close co-operation with the company’s business units and group functions colleagues. The Head of Group Strategy will be a member of the extended leadership team and report to the CEO.

Main responsibilities:

  • Architect and drive Group’s growth strategy and related actions in collaboration with the senior leadership
  • Lead strategic planning process and related analysis. Define, mobilize and lead certain cross-functional strategic initiatives
  • Act as a key advisor on critical changes in the competitive landscape and business environment
  • Ensure the appropriate metrics are in place to measure performance and progress towards strategic goals
  • Follow through industry and market trends and their impact to Enersense vision and strategic direction mid-term and long-term. Support management in defining strategic key areas to be accelerated further.
  • Create financial assessments of value creation impact related to strategic options 
  • Identify and when agreed execute potential M&A targets and other strategic partnership opportunities
  • Deliver ad hoc strategy led analysis to inform company decision making 
  • Monitor strategy execution and related metrics
  • Manage specific group’s development portfolio and operating model related projects


  • MSc degree in a relevant field supported by minimum 10 – 15 years of experience in a similar role preferably in and international energy or technology business; experience from working in a consultancy company is seen as an advantage
  • Proven track record of leading strategy planning, business development, M&A’s, market entry projects and various development programs/projects in an international environment
  • Good decision-making skills and result oriented way of working
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills including financial acumen
  • Experience with different execution methodologies and change management practices as well as acting as a strategic sparring partner 
  • Excellent communication skills; Strong capabilities in creating executive presentations, simplifying complex topics, and facilitating workshops
  • The suitable candidate for the position is a good initiator, is proactive and able to question and spar the management team in a constructive way and build strong partnerships among all stakeholders 
  • He or she is a positive and proactive team player who is willing to work hands-on with details without losing sight of the big picture
  • Fluency in English written and spoken
