Project Engineer

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer for our client in Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant, Finland. Start of the project is as soon as possible.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Close coordination with the construction and Maintenance team, as well as engineering and commissioning when needed
  • Ensuring the readiness of the Fuel Handling System for the next refueling outage
  • Face to face meetings with subcontractors and issuance of related minutes of meeting
  • Management of the correspondence (base activity of the administration)
  • Contract change management: writing and handling Additional Works Orders and Contract Amendments
  • Invoices review and validation
  • Management of the claims from/to the subcontractors (including particular points of co-activity management)
  • Management of issues linked to the subcontractors (delivery of material, planning of activity, legal obligations, taxes, logistics…)
  • Contractual milestones tracking, follow-up of remediation actions plans
  • Contracts closing
  • Budget preparation and follow-up
  • Risks and Opportunities management
  • Internal reporting (operational, progress and financial), writing Lessons Learned
  • Plan the implementation of the open issues (FN/ non conformance report/preventive maintenance / Corrective maintenance…) according to the project schedule
  • Identify the need for engineering supports and work closely with engineering support to define technical solution
  • Identify the spare part, consumables and tools needed for the work implementation, preparation and tracking of purchase request accordingly
  • Prepare system status for presentation to project stakeholders, customer and authorities

Requirements:

  • Overall engineering diploma required
  • Technical background as well as commercial background
  • Experience in loading machine
  • Experience in operations
  • Experience in Nuclear industry
  • 10 years of experience in similar position
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in negotiation
  • Proactive attitude towards work
  • Nuclear PWR (Pressurized Water Reactor) experience considered as an advantage

Languages:

  • English skills
  • French language skills considered as a benefit
