Mechanical Planning Engineer for Auxiliary Systems

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Planning Engineer for Auxiliary Systems for our client in Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant, Finland. Start of the project is as soon as possible.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Gathering of all tasks from Commissioning, Construction, Maintenance, Operation
  • Assess the impact of the activity on the other branches
  • Liaise with scheduling team to verify that the activities from all entities fit together in the time schedule
  • Ensure compliance with the technical specifications
  • Propose/define changes in the planning sequences in order to
    • fulfil the technical specifications
    • optimize the sequence for the project progress
  • Harmonize the mechanical activities with the electrical and the I&C activities
  • Anticipatory way of working to detect and remove obstacles in time
  • Deliver the final level 1 and level 2 schedules for the project
  • Organize the PTW activities in order to fulfil the schedule
  • Lead the meetings with the representatives from all disciplines
  • Regular reporting about the schedule and plant progress

Requirements:

  • Mechanical, Process or Nuclear engineering degree
  • At least 5 years of Nuclear experience in PWR linked to a very good overall understanding of PWR systems, especially Auxiliary Systems
  • Expertise in mechanical and fluid system design and/or commissioning and/or maintenance
  • Expertise in system operation and/or refuelling outage management
  • Solid knowledge of functionality of mechanical equipment (valves, pumps, fans, heaters, filters, etc. )
  • Experience in planning of physical activities on large projects
  • Overall knowledge about the Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) mechanical and I&C systems
  • Very good knowledge of the Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) process systems, especially Auxiliary Systems
  • Solid knowledge and experience in fluid and process system operation, including operating manuals, test instructions or system maintenance
  • Team player attitude
  • Capability of chairing of meetings
  • Experience of Work planning
  • PTW experience is an advantage
