Cable pulling supervisor

We are currently looking for a Cable Pulling Supervisor for our client in Olkiluoto Nuclear Power Plant, Finland.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Construction Method Engineer to obtain the latest documentation and drawings relating to the cable pulling Construction work
  • Implement all procedures relating to equipment and material management in order to allow withdrawal of goods from storage of cables and materials relating to cable pulling construction work and to ensure that materials and plant are taken to job site and installed correctly
  • Organize and control subcontractor in the fixing and pulling of all cabling, to comply with program demands in order to ensure subcontractors updates and to complete all records of construction
  • Ensure that subcontractor sets up pulling recording system and that this system is operated and updated daily
  • Ensure that the technical documents / drawings / data are required for the construction activities are in appropriate Reference Configuration (RC) and stamped CFC
  • Take all necessary measures in order to resolve as soon as possible any engineering problems relating to cable pulling works. In the case of not being possible to resolve a particular engineering problem in the territory he should liaise with the appropriate people in the Company organization in order to find a quick and suitable solution
  • Provide Site Management with all necessary information on progress and problems
  • Ensure that the subcontractor works within the requirements of the contract and overall project
  • Undertake any duties from time to time as instructed by the Manager or his designated deputy
  • Ensure that the subcontractor's working practices are of the required standard and that those practices and documentation requirements are adhered to
  • Ensure that all Nuclear Safety Culture principles are fulfilled adhered to by all staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that all health and safety requirements are fulfilled and adhered to by all staff and subcontractors
  • Ensure that all statutory and legal requirements regarding safety at work are implemented and maintained throughout construction to handover
  • Make weekly safety inspections within his scope of work


  • Electrical Supervision knowledge
  • Organisational and planning ability
  • Good interface and relationship
  • Willingness to deep-dive in the Plan System Descriptions
  • Rigor in the implementation of the project processes
  • Problem solving attitude for technical matters and pro-active approach
  • Knowledge in performance of operation tasks and of safety requirements about working in electrical operation areas (adequate certificates e.g. based on standard SFS 6002)
  • Potential experience on OL3 for faster integration
  • PDMS knowledge
  • Knowledge of Database management and follow up


  • Fluent English
