Commissioning Manager

We are currently looking for a Commissioning Manager for our client's ongoing Power Plant Project in Barbados. Our client's project will support the reliability of electricity systems in Barbados and the integration of renewable energy sources into these systems. The start would be as soon as possible and the estimated duration is until June 2021.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Oversee Electrical and Automation engineering work
  • Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
  • Ensuring project meets agreed specifications, budgets and timescales
  • Oversee design, documentation, admin and communication of Commissioning tasks in close co-operation with the client
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff
  • Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
  • Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
  • Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or similar from a relevant field of study
  • Experience from large construction projects appreciated
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and teamworking skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Language skills:

  • English language skills
